Win #700

• When: Feb. 22, 1997

• Where: Assembly Hall, Bloomington, Ind.

• Overview: Bob Knight was ejected in the first half, but the Hoosier defeated Northwestern 64-49 behind the play of Richard Mandeville. Knight actually got his 700th victory in IU's next game, but NCAA violations by Purdue and Minnesota gave Knight credit for victories that were previously defeats.

Win #745

• When: Nov. 19, 1999

• Where: United Spirit Arena, Lubbock.

• Overview: Texas Tech christened its new arena, and a crowd of 15,050 was on hand to see Knight's signature defense quell the Red Raiders during a 68-60 triumph. Jeffrey Newton, who had the first dunk in the arena just 45 seconds into the game, and Lynn Washington scored 10 points apiece for Indiana. The Hoosiers allowed Tech to convert just 24 of 74 shots. The Red Raiders led by as many as nine points in the first half. "What I said at halftime was ingenious," Knight said after the game. "I said if we don't get our --- in gear, we're going to get beat."
